Derek is is a chartered building services engineer with almost 30 years’ experience in consultancy. His career includes a broad base of building services design and engineering, covering complete project lifecycles on a wide variety of prestigious projects, and working for clients from several sectors, particularly within the arts, leisure, retail, commercial, residential and HE Sectors. Being involved with several high-profile projects and clients, Derek has a proven track record of successfully delivering highly complex and innovative schemes.
Derek has also led several interdisciplinary teams delivering significant new build and regeneration schemes throughout the UK. Derek is a member of the british council for offices and regularly participates in regional events to further reinforce his knowledge and experience in workspace design. Derek has a particular interest in affordable low-energy architectural and integrated energy solutions, and as a former BREEAM AP, has guided many projects to achieve holistic and sustainable outcomes
