The Defence Academy required modern, JSP-compliant accommodation, upgrading over 100 beds across multiple blocks to enhance student wellbeing and campus appeal.
We provided architecture, building services, civil and structural engineering, BIM, health and safety and cost management to guide the project from feasibility to delivery.
Interdisciplinary design with costed options
Our team reviewed the existing service level agreement (SLA) estate and worked with Serco and the MOD to develop clear, costed options. A phased approach kept design work efficient, reduced disruption for residents and ensured full JSP and UK-regulation compliance. We also explored heritage-sensitive upgrades to protect the character of the site.
Smart, JSP-compliant living environments
The designs modernise each block and improve welfare areas, communal spaces and overall living conditions. Practical, cost-effective solutions sit alongside a straightforward phasing plan to create comfortable, fit-for-purpose rooms that support student wellbeing.
