• Structural design

  We undertake structural design from first sketch to construction, across steel, concrete, timber and hybrid systems – optimising foundations, frames and facades using the latest analytical and 3D modelling software. We use BIM to give our clients and architects a clear picture of how design components work together. This allows us to test structural efficiency, material choices and buildability against cost, time and sustainability. Every solution is developed with constructability and sequencing in mind from the start, ensuring that it can be built efficiently and safely.

• Structural appraisal and reuse

  We assess existing buildings to understand capacity, risk and adaptation potential. Reusing existing structures is central to reducing embodied carbon – our advice supports retrofit, extension and change of use strategies that extend asset life and serve future generations. Our geospatial experts capture existing structures in accurate 3D point cloud and CAD formats, particularly valuable when considering historic or complex buildings.

• Infrastructure and substructure

  We design foundations, retaining structures and below-ground systems in coordination with ground conditions, drainage and site constraints. Complex site logistics, neighbouring assets and future flexibility are considered from the outset, aligning below-ground design with delivery strategy to reduce risk and protect programme.

• Construction support

  We remain involved through construction, reviewing contractor proposals, responding to site queries and safeguarding design intent. Our clear, timely advice helps maintain on-site quality and momentum. Working closely with our sustainability consultants, we ensure that whole-life carbon thinking is carried through to site, helping clients and supply chains understand the impact of decisions made during delivery.
