Richard is a chartered environmentalist and chartered water environment manager with a MSc in geotechnical engineering. He has 28 years’ experience working as a ground investigation consultant for a mix of private and public sector clients on a variety of projects across multiple sectors. Richard has a wealth of experience heading up geo-environmental teams, providing concise and detailed investigation reports enabling clients to make accurate decisions about site acquisition, obtaining regulatory approval for development and enabling contaminated land planning conditions to be discharged. His approach is to carry out comprehensive yet economic investigations to ensure sites are thoroughly investigated and constraints and opportunities identified at an early stage. Richard has particular expertise in earthworks and waste classification and is a Qualified Person (QP) under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice protocol. This initiative enables waste soils to be moved between sites outside of the waste legislation process.
