As Head of Ground Engineering, Rob leads our national team of geotechnical specialists with over 25 years of experience. He leverages his deep technical and commercial expertise across both pre- and post-planning phases, allowing him to identify appropriate solutions and communicate them clearly to clients and design teams. Rob’s experience spans most sectors of the built environment across the UK and Northern Europe, ranging from small-scale projects to strategic developments. Prior to joining Ridge, he led the Southwest and Wales ground engineering teams at Hydrock. Rob is passionate about unlocking value through innovative earthworks, substructure, and material reuse strategies. By collaborating closely with our civil and structural engineering teams, he ensures we deliver joined-up, cost-effective solutions from initial appraisal through to construction.
