Aston Martin F1 set out to create a state-of-the-art 32-acre campus at Silverstone – a high-performance base designed to unite every operation and keep development moving fast.

We provided full interdisciplinary support across Aston Martin’s three-phase campus development: the new headquarters, the wind tunnel and the staff amenities hub.

Engineering a new era for Aston Martin

Our team led stakeholder engagement and design coordination throughout, bringing clarity to a complex, fast-moving programme. An inside-out design approach put operational process at the centre of every decision. Spaces were positioned to reduce unnecessary movement, speed up development cycles and support the team’s high-performance culture. Working with more than 15 specialist departments, we turned highly technical requirements into layouts that prioritised communication, quick decision-making and efficient engineering and manufacturing workflows.

The programme moved at remarkable speed. Building 1 was delivered in just 18 months, all while full operations continued on a live site. We managed the interfaces between two contractors and multiple suppliers, sequencing works around the wind tunnel installation and the bridge-linked buildings. Despite pandemic disruption, and the pace of a live F1 environment, the project was delivered on time and within budget.

A connected, world-class campus

Today, the campus brings together more than 800 staff across three interconnected buildings, uniting design, engineering and driver performance within a single masterplan. The headquarters and manufacturing spaces sit around a central “street” that encourages constant collaboration, visibility and fast-paced technical exchange between disciplines. The whole campus works as one integrated system, helping people move faster, share ideas easily and operate at the highest level.

Built for change, built for champions

This campus is the first purpose-built Formula 1 headquarters in more than 25 years, and it’s designed to evolve with Aston Martin’s future technologies and ambitions. Beyond its technical capability, the development sets a new standard for collaboration, adaptability and excellence in Formula 1 design.

Our appointment to deliver a fourth building reflects the long-term impact of this approach, and our continued role in supporting Aston Martin’s pursuit of championship success.
