Project and programme delivery
A $2 billion Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) upgrade introduced a 2.25‑mile Automated People Mover (APM) linking terminals, parking and transit hubs at LAX.
We provided project management support to bring structure and clarity to a fast-moving, high-stakes programme.
Uniting teams behind one vision
Using Flow – our specialist planning method – we built a single connected design schedule that pulled eight major workstreams together and helped everyone stay focused on priorities and timing.
We ran collaborative planning workshops, set weekly work plans and worked with teams to unblock issues slowing progress. We also kept risks visible and the bigger picture in view. And because clarity only works when everyone shares the same information, our cloud-based dashboards gave the client, the LINXS Constructors JV and individual teams real-time visibility of milestones, progress and issues, helping avoid delays.
Integrated planning, streamlined delivery
The airport stayed fully operational throughout. And with the project delivered through a complex Public Private Partnership and design build JV, keeping things on track meant coordinating multiple design teams working to tight deadlines and different pressures.
Our approach brought cohesion to a fragmented programme. With every design package linked to a shared schedule – and clear interdependencies – risks were spotted earlier and deadlines were met more reliably. Regular reporting and simple digital tools gave the client confidence and allowed LAWA’s operations to continue without disruption.
Enabling efficiency for a world-class airport
By introducing structure and clarity at a critical moment, we helped set up the successful delivery of one of LAWA’s flagship upgrades. The Automated People Mover now supports smoother journeys for millions each year, and our planning expertise has set a benchmark for collaboration on complex transport programmes.
