Viadux Phase 2 is a 76-storey mixed-use tower in central Manchester. It brings a NOBU hotel, 452 homes and hospitality spaces together, creating a landmark that blends height, heritage and modern living.
We are delivering building services engineering, sustainability consultancy and lighting design for one of the UK’s most technically complex high rise schemes.
Blending innovation, heritage and scale
At 245 metres, the tower relies on zoned mechanical and electrical systems. Separate high and low level circuits manage water pressure, sprinklers and wet risers, keeping the building safe and easy to maintain.
Alongside this vertical challenge, we’ve added modern services within the Grade II listed Castlefield Viaduct. The arches now support new uses, including a café and restaurant. Sensitive lighting reveals the brickwork without overwhelming it, creating a calm balance between old and new.
Seamless systems for a complex city site
Our team coordinates delivery across the mixed-use tower, bringing heritage care together with modern engineering. Careful planning and phased services keep construction efficient and support future-ready performance on a busy city site.
Legacy through landmark design
Viadux Phase 2 is reshaping Manchester’s skyline while reconnecting the city with its industrial past. Engineering excellence underpins architectural ambition, creating a landmark where heritage and innovation sit comfortably together, delivering a high-performance, future-ready development.
