Alex is a chartered architect with the RIBA and leads the architecture team based in Bristol. Having trained in the UK he has international experience working in Canada for three years on a number of engineering and design led projects. An advocate of interdisciplinary collaborative design, Alex is focused on creating sustainable and net zero architecture through building information modelling (BIM) to deliver projects with complex requirements and challenging objectives. As well as training junior architectural staff within Ridge, Alex is an RIBA Student Mentor with the University of West England and an active RIBA member. Alex has led several substantial projects in the industrial and logistics sector, advanced manufacturing and automotive sector and is a leader in green technologies and R&D projects. He is equally influential and interested in delivering smaller scale projects, such as schools for the Department for Education and blue light facilities for the emergency services, as well as overseeing a variety of commercial offices, refurbishment and residential projects.
