A team of Cost Managers, Employer’s Agents and Health and Safety Consultants at Ridge played an integral role in this £12m, 5,300 sq m development. We ensured the scheme’s viability, advised the developers Gilltown on contractor procurement, progressed negotiations with Bath’s planning authority and coordinated adjacent infrastructure requirements with Network Rail and Western Power.
Flood-resilience was a critical aspect of the scheme, requiring the adjacent cricket pitch to be called on to manage water levels, as well as employing flood monitoring equipment. In addition to the student accommodation – which is now fully let – the project also reinforces Bath Cricket Club’s reputation for excellence by providing a new two-lane training facility and improvements to its on-site parking.
